QHSE & IMS ACCREDITATION

We have achieved full accreditation in AS 4801 (Safety), ISO 9001 (Quality), and ISO 14001 (Environmental) and as a result, we operate at a high standard under our own management system. We hold federal accreditation having met the stringent requirements of the Australian Government Building and Construction OHS Accreditation Scheme. 

Suffren Group holds Achilles FPS (First Point Supply base) pre-qualification for supply to the Asia Pacific Oil and Gas Industry. Suffren Group is also the proud recipient of the 'Skills DMC Chairman’s Award' for "Workforce Planning, Development and Leadership in Skilling Employees".

HEALTH AND SAFETY

Suffren Group has an excellent safety record. The QHSE Management System has been developed by the company as part of its ongoing commitment to improving business practices, QHSE performances and compliance with legislative obligations and Industry Codes of Practice. The development, implementation and ongoing improvement of this system is regarded as vital to the success of the business and the safety of its people.

ENVIRONMENT

Suffren Group’s ISO 14001 accreditation shows our commitment to environmentally safe practices which are embedded in our process chain and paramount to the delivery of services. 

Suffren Group’s Environmental Officers are IEACA qualified and experienced in the compilation and execution of ‘Construction Environment Management Plans’ (CEMP) and ‘Erosion and Sediment Control Plans’ (ESCP). These plans are inclusive of flora/fauna pre-commencement surveys and identification. An important criteria is fauna spotting and handling, as well as flora exclusions. Pest removal and handling, topographical rehabilitation and stabilisation, liquid waste and contaminated soil management are also included. 

The QHSE IMS overlays environmental principles and allows project specific variations to the process steps. Quality assurance standards are tailored to meet the projects requirements. 

COMPLIANCE

Suffren Group has a professional and conscientious approach to compliance. Whether it be task specific, client specific or generalised process management driven, the approach is to conduct proactive reviews resulting in constant improvement. The IMS is the governing system regarding project compliance and workplace non-conformances. Strict document handling and reporting controls in real time ensures any non-conformances are closed out quickly.
